SYMPTOM · HVAC + REFRIGERATION · ORANGE COUNTY
AC leaking water or ice on coils.
Water in a closet, on the ceiling, or on the floor under the air handler. We clear, diagnose, and quote the durable fix in writing — usually inside an hour.
Common causes for this symptom.
-
Clogged condensate drain line.
Algae and biofilm slowly block the 3/4" PVC drain off the evaporator pan. Once it blocks, the pan overflows and you find water in the closet, ceiling, or attic. We clear and flush the line — and add a treatment tablet so it stays clear.
-
Iced evaporator coil from low airflow.
A clogged filter or undersized return duct starves the coil. It ices over, then thaws all at once and dumps water past the drip pan. The pattern: leak only when the system has been running hard, then nothing the next morning.
-
Cracked condensate pan.
Older systems develop hairline cracks in the plastic or rusted-through holes in metal pans. Sealant is a temporary fix; the durable answer is replacement. We carry common pan sizes on the truck.
-
Secondary float switch tripped.
The float in the auxiliary drain pan has triggered, shutting the system down to prevent water damage. Good news — the safety did its job. We find the upstream cause (almost always a clog) and reset.

I first found Ivan almost 9 years ago, when he had just started his business. He was prompt, knowledgeable and able to fix every type of appliance. He became my go-to guy for any issues. He is responsive, comes on time, reasonable rates, and gets the job done efficiently and properly, the first time. His specialty is Air Conditioning, which gets a lot of use in Orange County summers — call Trust AC Repair!

I love when a business truly earns a five-star review. Rest assured that Trust AC Repair is one of those select few. From calling to schedule an appointment, to showing up on time, to being trustworthy when advising on what needs to be done, to making repairs — this is an A+ business all the way through. Ivan, the owner, does not upsell to make a buck. He is professional, knowledgeable, and experienced.

Ivan is great. I appreciate his methodical, step-by-step approach to figuring out the problem and finding solutions. Communication is clear — he called me approximately 30 minutes before arriving, and cleaned up after the job was done. Thank you Ivan for being our go-to repair person.
